ServicesStorage Unit Cleanouts
Storage Unit Cleanouts in Johns Creek
We empty storage units carefully, one box at a time if that is what it takes. You decide what stays, we point out what is still worth using, and the rest is donated, recycled or hauled. The unit is left swept and ready to hand back.

Stop paying rent on things you no longer use
A storage unit often starts as a short-term fix during a move or a renovation. Years later the boxes are still there, the monthly bill is still arriving, and nobody is sure what is in the back row. A storage unit cleanout clears it in one visit and helps you decide what deserves a place in your home.
We do not treat everything as trash. If a solid wood dresser only needs a new drawer runner, or a dining table just needs refinishing, we will tell you before it goes on the truck. When something is past saving, such as a mildewed mattress or a particleboard bookcase that has swelled and split, we say that plainly too.
We have been doing this work since 2021, and over 1,200 Google reviews come from neighbors who let us into their garages, basements and storage units.
What a storage unit cleanout includes
- Sorting with you or for you
- We set items into keep, donate, recycle and haul groups. If you are there, we check with you as we go. If you are not, we agree on the rules by phone first.
- Careful handling of what you keep
- Keepsakes, framed photos and boxes of papers are set aside and loaded into your vehicle rather than tossed in with the rest. We wrap glass and finished wood so it leaves the unit in the condition it went in.
- Donation and recycling
- Usable furniture, housewares and clothing go to donation where accepted. Metal shelving, old appliances and cardboard are separated for recycling instead of heading straight to the landfill.
- All the lifting and loading
- Heavy pieces, upper-floor units and long carts down the hallway are our job. You do not need to rent a truck or recruit friends.
- A swept, empty unit
- Most facilities expect a unit returned broom-clean. We sweep the floor and clear stray packing material so you can remove your lock and close the account.
When a storage unit is due for a cleanout
It has sat closed for a year
If you cannot say what is in there, you are paying for it without getting anything back.
Another rent increase arrived
Rate hikes pile up without much notice. A single cleanout usually costs less than a few more months of rent.
Boxes sag or smell musty
Drive-up units trap summer humidity, softening cardboard and leaving mildew on fabric and paper. The earlier the good pieces come out, the more of them are still worth saving.
A move or downsize is ahead
Heading to a smaller home is a good moment to choose what comes with you.
A relative's things are in your care
Emptying a family member's unit is heavy work and slow going. We move at your pace and set aside anything personal for you to go through.
How a storage unit cleanout is priced
Pricing is upfront with no hidden fees, and the quote you get before we begin is the one we stick to. It depends on how much room your items take in our truck and how much effort it takes to load them, not on the size of the unit alone.
How much is inside
A half-empty 5x10 is nothing like a crammed 10x30. The price follows how much of the truck the contents fill.
Time spent sorting
Mixed boxes that have to be opened and split up take longer than a unit of furniture you already know is going.
Getting in and out of the facility
Units on upper floors, tight elevators and long hallway runs mean more labor than a drive-up unit with the truck parked at the door.
Heavy or unusual items
Safes, old pianos, appliances and tires may need more people or come with disposal fees. We mention them on the call so nothing catches you off guard.
How the cleanout runs on the day
- 1
A short phone call
Tell us the unit size, the facility and roughly what is inside. You get a quote by phone, and if the contents are unclear we can arrange a free, no-obligation on-site estimate.
- 2
Access and timing
You add us to the facility's access list or meet us at the gate. We check the facility's hours and any loading rules before we arrive.
- 3
Sort, then load
We pull items out to the aisle, sort them, and confirm the plan with you before anything is hauled. Pieces worth repairing are flagged, not thrown out.
- 4
Sweep and hand back
Once the truck is loaded, we sweep the unit and walk it with you. Your kept items leave with you, and donations and recycling go to their drop-off points.

Questions about clearing a storage unit
Must I be at the facility during the cleanout?
No. Plenty of customers in Alpharetta, Suwanee and Johns Creek put us on the access list and give directions over the phone. If we come across anything that seems personal or valuable, we call. If you would like to be there, we will gladly sort with you.
Where do the items I let go of end up?
Usable things go to donation when accepted, and metal, appliances and cardboard get recycled. Only items that cannot be reused or recycled go to disposal. If something needs just a small repair, we point it out so you can choose.
What are you unable to take?
We cannot haul paint, fuel, pesticides or other hazardous materials, and most facilities do not allow them in units in the first place. If you come across any, mention it on the call and we will walk you through your options.
What if something at the facility is damaged?
We are licensed and insured. Even so, we take our time around hallway walls, doors and elevators, since a clean return matters to you and to the facility.
Can I turn the unit in right after you finish?
Yes. We take out everything you are not keeping and sweep the floor. You take off your lock and wrap up the paperwork at the facility office.

Ready to close out that unit?
Tell us the unit size and what you know about its contents. We will give you a clear price and a plan for what gets kept, donated and hauled.
