Furniture Removal in Johns Creek

We carry out the sofa, the old bedroom set or the sectional that never fit, and we protect your floors, railings and door frames on the way. If a piece is worth keeping, refinishing or donating, we will tell you before anything goes on the truck.

When Furniture Removal Is the Right Call

Most furniture leaves a home because it no longer fits the room, the style or the stage of life. A recliner with a broken mechanism, a mattress past its years, a particleboard dresser that sagged after a move. These are pieces we can lift, disassemble if needed and haul away in one visit.

Not every piece needs to go, though. A solid hardwood table with a worn finish can often be refinished for less than a new one costs. A sofa with a loose leg or a torn seat cushion may only need a simple repair. We would rather point that out than charge you to remove something you would miss. When a frame is cracked, the springs have collapsed or the veneer is peeling off pressed board, replacement makes more sense, and we will say so plainly.

What Our Furniture Removal Includes

  1. 01

    Careful carrying from any room

We bring pieces down from upstairs bedrooms, up from basements and out of tight hallways. Two people handle anything heavy, and we use moving blankets and dollies so nothing drags across your floors.

  2. 02

    Disassembly when it helps

Bed frames, bunk beds, sectionals and wardrobes often come apart faster than they squeeze through a doorway. We bring the tools, take them down cleanly and keep the hardware together if you want anything kept.

  3. 03

    Protection for your home

Corners, banisters and door jambs get padded where a piece will pass close. Wood floors and carpet get runners on the main path.

  4. 04

    An honest keep-or-go opinion

If something looks repairable or has real resale or donation value, we mention it. You decide; we simply give you the information.

  5. 05

    Donation and recycling where possible

Pieces in usable condition are set aside for donation when a local charity can accept them. Metal frames and other recyclable parts are separated from what goes to the landfill.

  6. 06

    A final sweep-up

Furniture leaves dust, lost coins and the odd screw behind. We sweep the spot where each piece stood.

Signs a Piece Is Ready to Go

  • The frame flexes or cracks

A wobble that returns after you tighten the bolts usually means the joint or frame itself has failed. Glue and screws rarely hold for long once particleboard splits.

  • Springs or webbing have collapsed

If you sink to the frame on a sofa or chair, the support system underneath is worn out. Reupholstery can fix fabric, but rebuilding the inside often costs more than the piece is worth.

  • Lingering odors or pests

Smoke, pet odor and mildew settle deep into foam and padding. Signs of bed bugs or other pests are a firm reason to remove a piece rather than try to save it.

  • It blocks the room you need

A guest room becoming a home office or a nursery often means the old furniture simply has nowhere to go. That is a perfectly good reason on its own.

  • You are moving or downsizing

Moving furniture you no longer want costs time and truck space. Clearing it ahead of the move keeps the new place lighter.

How a Furniture Pickup Goes

  1. 1

    A quick phone call

Tell us what is going and which rooms it is in. We can price it on the call, or schedule a free, no-obligation on-site estimate when the job is large or tricky to describe.

  2. 2

    Walking through together

Our crew looks at each piece with you, mentions anything that may be worth keeping and plans the route out. Pricing is upfront, so we agree on the number before anything is lifted.

  3. 3

    Protect, disassemble and carry

We pad the path, take apart anything that will not fit through a door and carry each piece out to the truck. A few rooms usually go quickly, though stairs and disassembly take a bit longer.

  4. 4

    Sort and sweep

Donations and recyclables ride separately on the truck. We sweep each empty room and do a final walk-through with you.

How Furniture Removal Is Priced

The price reflects how much truck space your furniture takes and the effort it takes to get it loaded. You get a quote before work begins, and no hidden fees appear at the end. One armchair by the front door and a full bedroom set upstairs are very different jobs, and the price shows that fairly.

Size and amount
Sectionals, armoires and big entertainment cabinets fill more of the truck than a nightstand does. Total volume makes up most of the price.
Stairs and getting out
Plenty of Johns Creek homes are two stories with finished basements, and hauling a sleeper sofa up basement stairs takes longer than wheeling it out the garage. Tight turns and long carries mean more labor.
Taking pieces apart
Platform beds, wall units and built-in style furniture that must be broken down need extra time and tools.
How heavy it is
Solid oak, marble tops and sleeper frames weigh far more than they appear. The heaviest pieces can need a third person.
Where it goes afterward
Mattresses and upholstered furniture may come with their own disposal fees. Pieces that can be donated or recycled sometimes cut down on what goes to the landfill.

Furniture Removal Questions

Do I need to move furniture to the curb or garage first?

No. We pick up from wherever each piece is, including upstairs bedrooms and basements. Let us do the heavy lifting so you do not get hurt.

Will my walls or floors get marked?

We pad corners, banisters and door frames and lay runners over finished floors along the way. We are licensed and insured, and at tight turns we ease a piece through rather than force it.

Will you tell me if something can be fixed?

Yes. If a solid wood dresser only needs new drawer slides or a table just needs refinishing, we mention it while it is still in the room. If the frame is broken or the pressed board is coming apart, we will say it is not worth keeping.

What happens to the furniture you take?

Usable pieces are donated when a charity accepts them, and metal and other recyclables are separated out. Only what cannot be reused or recycled goes to the landfill.

How long have you done this work?

We have been removing furniture from homes in Johns Creek and nearby Alpharetta, Duluth and Suwanee since 2021. Our over 1,200 Google reviews are a good way to see how our crews work.

Can you take other things on the same trip?

Yes. Old appliances, boxes from the garage or anything else you are clearing can go on the same truck. Our appliance removal and garage cleanouts pages cover those jobs in more detail.

Time to Empty the Room?

Let us know what is leaving and where it sits, and you will have a clear price before anyone lifts a thing. If you want us to see it in person first, that estimate costs nothing.
