Appliance Removal in Johns Creek

We carry out old refrigerators, washers, dryers, ranges, dishwashers and water heaters with care for your floors and door frames. If a unit only needs a small repair, we tell you up front so you are not paying to haul something fixable. Otherwise it goes to a recycler, not a landfill.

Big, heavy jobs that call for a trained crew

A full-size fridge can top 250 pounds, and most of that weight is high up and uneven. Taking one down stairs or over hardwood without a proper dolly and straps is how floors get scarred and people get hurt. Our crew handles this every week and plans the path out of your home before lifting anything.

Some appliances do not need replacing. A fridge running warm may just have a tired door seal or dusty coils, and a dryer with no heat often needs one cheap part. When we spot that, we tell you straight and leave the choice to you. When the compressor has failed, the drum has rusted through or the tank leaks, a new unit is the smarter move, and we will explain why.

We have done this work since 2021 and are licensed and insured, which counts when a crew is moving a heavy appliance down your hallway.

What appliance removal includes

Carry-out from anywhere in the house

Kitchen, laundry room, basement, garage or upstairs. We use an appliance dolly with straps and take doors off the unit when a doorway is tight.

Floor and frame protection

We lay down runners on finished floors and pad door frames and stair corners along the route. Nothing is dragged.

Refrigerant-safe handling

Refrigerators, freezers, dehumidifiers and window AC units contain refrigerant that should not be vented. We keep them upright and take them to recyclers equipped to recover it ahead of processing the metal.

Recycling and donation

Steel, copper and aluminum go to scrap recyclers. Working appliances in good condition can go to donation instead of the scrap pile.

Cleanup after the unit is out

We sweep the space where the appliance stood, which usually means a layer of dust and the odd lost sock or magnet. You get the floor back clean.

Signs it is time to haul it rather than fix it

The compressor runs nonstop
A refrigerator or freezer that never cycles off and still can't hold temperature usually has a failing compressor or sealed-system leak. Those repairs often cost close to a new unit.
Rust through the tub or tank
Rust inside a washer drum or water around the base of a water heater means the metal itself is failing. No part swap fixes that.
A second fridge in the garage that barely keeps up
Older garage refrigerators work hard through Georgia summers and use far more power than they did new. If it struggles from June through September, it is often costing you more than it saves.
You already bought the replacement
New appliance delivered, old one sitting on the porch or in the garage. We can take it the same visit we take anything else you have been meaning to clear.

How the day goes

  1. 1

A quick call and a clear quote

Tell us what the appliance is, where it sits and how many stairs are involved. You get a quote by phone, or a free, no-obligation on-site estimate if you would rather we look first.

  2. 2

A little prep on your end

Empty the refrigerator, unplug the unit and turn off the water to washers and ice makers. Gas ranges and dryers should have the gas line disconnected and capped by a qualified professional ahead of time.

  3. 3

    Careful carry-out

We protect the route, strap the appliance to the dolly and walk it out slowly. Doors come off hinges only when needed and go back on before we leave.

  4. 4

    Recycling and a swept floor

The unit is loaded, the space is swept, and the appliance is routed to a recycler or donation partner based on its condition.

What affects the price

We give upfront pricing with no hidden fees, and the number you hear is based on the actual job. A single washer by the garage door is a different job from a side-by-side refrigerator in a finished basement. These are the things that move it.

Size and weight
A compact under-counter fridge is quick work. A large French-door refrigerator or a chest freezer takes two people and more truck space.
Stairs and tight access
Basement stairs, narrow hallways and doorways that need hinges removed add time and care to the carry.
Refrigerant-bearing units
Refrigerators, freezers and AC units have to go to a facility that recovers the refrigerant, which adds a handling step that a washer or range does not need.
How many items
Several appliances, or an appliance plus other items like an old mattress or boxes, share one trip and usually cost less per piece than separate visits.

Questions about appliance removal

Should I disconnect the appliance before you arrive?
Please unplug electric units and turn off the water to washers, dishwashers and ice makers. For gas ranges and dryers, have a qualified professional disconnect and cap the gas line before we come. If you are not sure about a connection, bring it up on the call and we will go over it.
How is the refrigerant in my old fridge handled?
Refrigerators and freezers stay upright and go to recyclers equipped to recover the refrigerant correctly. It is never vented or dumped. The steel and copper are then recycled.
Will you let me know if a repair makes more sense?
Yes. If the problem you describe sounds like a door seal, dirty coils or one worn part, we tell you before you pay to have it hauled. If it is a failed compressor, a rusted tub or a leaking tank, we explain why removal is the better option.
Do you take appliances that still work?
Yes. A working unit in decent condition often makes a good donation, so it gets used again rather than going straight to scrap.
How fast can you come out?
Same-day and next-day visits are available, based on our schedule when you call. Many customers find us through our over 1,200 Google reviews, and we try to fit appliance pickups in fast because a broken fridge in the kitchen gets in the way of everything.
